People cross at Embankment Crossing to go north or to enter Embankment tube.
Does the picture tell you what is happening here? As vehicles jostle for space, stop lines and crossings are ignored. There is not a road in London that does not exhibit this kind of behaviour.
Why should we take our life in our hands just to cross the street? More pedestrian-only areas, please.

ReplyDeleteAlso bicyclists, who bear the brunt of some motorist's wrath in the Letters to the Editors section at least once a week.
ReplyDeleteI have a theory that fewer vehicles of a non-essential nature would transform cities, improve health, and build community. That's just me.
